Carnivorous snail like critter??

I need some help identifying this weird snail eating creature in a friend’s tank. We’re not sure what it is, but it seems to keep eating a lot of their snails. It’s the bigger shell, not the Trochus in the second picture.

That's a Murex/Muricid Snail (taxonomic family Muricidae) of some kind; they're typically predators of mollusks (i.e. bivalves [clams, oysters, scallops, mussels, etc.] and gastropods [snails]).

Beautiful shells, but not reef-safe.

Yeah im not a snail expert but i know a whelk when i see one. They are snail eaters and clam eaters, get out asap
