It’s tissue recession. What you see is the skeleton beneath the tissue. It’ll regrow if it’s not being bothered by a fish or something. Really high flow and damage can tear the tissue as well. If yours looks like OPs it’ll be fine. See pics below of mine today vs mine last year. My green ones grow slow idk why.I have the exact same issue!! What do can I do about it please help..

Do you know what made your canes' tissue recess like this? And how did you treat it?It’s tissue recession. What you see is the skeleton beneath the tissue. It was a burrowing worm that had infested rhe mother colony. I tried super glueing its hole closed but that didn’t work. So I FW dipped the whole frag. Basically killed the coral but also killed the worms. They grew back in about a month and now they’re thrivingDo you know what made your canes' tissue recess like this? And how did you treat it?
I do have worm looking things but they dont move and theyre black. Heres a picThere were holes in my corals skeleton though snd you could see worms coming out for food. Fast small white worms
Wife took a look and says this is what we had. I can for sure say that is bothering the coral whether they’re the same type as mine or not. The holes look the same so it’s likely the white worm I saw had just taken up residence in the holes made by these dudes. LPS do NOT like FW dips. If you can try coral dip first.I do have worm looking things but they dont move and theyre black. Heres a picView attachment 2384317

Hard to tell for sure based on the pics but these look like holes bored into your coral skeleton. There shouldn’t be so much damage to the base of the skeleton like this either. Mines slowly become one complete piece with my rock it’s on.What holes are you referring to? I dont see any
