Hello,

Long story short, I bought this Foxface online. It's list as a Foxface Lo. I'm not very familiar with their differences. It's hasn't turned yellow yet. Any info is much appreciated!

So that's the thing. The one I bought was 129.99. I was assuming it was going to be around 4ish inches. I currently have a 75g.
I pre-ordered a 150g but I won't get it til mid July.
Do you think he would be alright until then?

Yes he should be fine. I don’t think they grow as fast as some others. My orange spotted rabbit has grown a lot but I’ve had him over a year. My magnificent radditfish pair have not grown as much as him. Different from yours as mine are not foxface but sigma is magnificus

i cant think

Siganus magnificus, these guys are one of the more expensive foxfaces and I find they remain smaller than the others.

I have mine in a 4’x2’x2’ tank, I got him 3 years ago as a 3” big boy. In those 3 years he has hit 6-7” and still loves the 4’ tank and has yet to show signs of pacing. I find everyone expects these guys to be like tangs… the only way they’re like tangs is from eating algae. These guys don’t swim much at all and instead swim then tend to hover for a few minutes then swim a bit and repeat.
Mine can be seen under my Ricordea yuma colony. My guy has never had the bright colouring on his pectoral fins (it’s more like a faint yellow) but it seems to be specimen dependant.

It’s a Magnificent Foxface (Siganus magnificus). Care shouldn’t be any different from any other of the Foxfaces. Their natural range is more narrow, found from Myanmar and Thailand to the western part of Indonesia.
