Can the necessary equipment for a monster tank fit in the cabinet?

My answer would be yes. Other than the RO/DI unit sitting under our kitchen sink, everything else is under the tank...

Only thing that wouldn't fit easily is the skimmer. A skimmer for 500g+ gets pretty tall. But of course you can run an undersized one if you absolutely want everything to fit. Im building a 500g soon with everything except the skimmer under the tank. If its possible to use a nearby room for the sump it makes maintenance significantly easier though and i highly recommend it.
