Honestly, if it looks like coralline, it has to be it. It'll show up as small specks (honestly just too small to pick up on camera). It'll show up on your glass around the same time as your rocks IMO. Did you introduce some into your system?

Is a certain green algae precurser to coralline aglae? I remember asking someone about this bright lime green algae I had and they said it's normal and will convert to coralline.

LOL. Funny enough I was going to mention green/yellow usually comes first. I can't explain it. But the purple/pink/reds are a stronger strain & take over from there.

I think my some of my rocks are turning white. They have some white spots on them. Could this be the beginning of coralline algae? I will attach a picture.
