I recently posted a thread on sps help. Specifically my green slimer. I have always heard leathers give off a toxin as coral warfare. I have a pretty good size devils hand in my 2 year old tank as it was one of the first corals I bought. The polyps are always out and it always look great. It was brought to my attention that maybe it is a reason my acros struggle.
I’m curious how many of you have nice acros and monti and such in addition to something like my devils hand?

Beautiful tank! I had a large green toadstool in my 150g and 225g that had a high population of acros and never seemed to have an issue up to the day it was removed.

I would also run carbon every couple of weeks, so that could have removed "toxins", but can't say for sure.

Nice tank!
One leather should not be that bad, but each are very different. My toadstools have never posed a problem. However I had a few Sinularia that would destroy lps. Running carbon should help.
