Can I put driftwood in my tank?

My main concern is that it would drop your Ph and tint your water.

You can, if it's been soaked (if it's fake) but why would you? Don't apply any lacquer... that ain't reef safe.

Personally I would not put driftwood in my tank lacquered or not. You might be able to find some in plastic that would look just as good after it's been in a while.

Will lower PH in a aquarium. We want to increase PH in reefs.
