I do weekly water changes on my mixed reef tank, I have small torches, hammers and zoas, so not a heavy demand. i do notice that my Mg drops below 1200 by the end of the week. Calcium stays around 385, ALk around 8.5.
my question is can i dose Polyplab ONE mid week or intermittently to "boost" levels or will this cause swings?

If you are relpenishing your calcium and alk with weekly water changes and those two stay the same for the majority of the week, it sounds like you dont need to dose polyp lab one.

What i would do is check your magnesium levels in your fresh mixed salt water.
if its lower than 1400, buy a magnesium suppliment And boost it to your desired level then do your water change.
