I bought an Aqueon 6 gallon rimless tank and it’s filled and cycling but for my peace of mind…can I add an extra layer of aquarium sealant to the outside? Has anyone done this before? Would it do more harm then good…would it bond?

The real seal is between both glass panels or inside the seam. An extra layer on the inside might help if there is a small leak but will dry abd peel of with time. And you'll most probably won't make as neat if a silicon job as tank builder so tank will look ugly.
If its really outside as mentioned in above posts it won't have any value as once water is inside a seam it'll find a way out, not to me tion that silicon on outside will dry and peel faster and look very ugly.
