Can herbivores eat chaeto?

I have a refugium that is packed with chaeto. Can I feed some of this to herbivorous fish and inverts?

I wouldn't. Sometimes my tang gets some and he poops it out mostly undigested, so I doubt he is getting anything beneficial from it.

Most herbivores don't care for chaeto.

Most foxfaces are fine with corals, but I have had to remove a few from tanks that started nipping corals.
