Hello fellow saltines,

I just picked up two Gorgonian frags (a corky and purple plume). These are my first corals. I just dipped in Revive for close to 15 mins. Now they're in a fresh saltwater rinse. I was about to dump out the Revive mix when I saw something moving in the bottom. I thought it was a piece of the purple plume that broke off but much to my horror it is a worm. These frags are so tiny I don't even know where this worm came from. I'm kind of freaked out now. Can I do another 15 minutes in the Revive? If so should I mix up a new batch or can I reuse the batch I made up?

Oh nooooo. Well my first attempt at corals might be a complete failure. :-( Should I go ahead and glue them in my tank?

They both look good. The corky finger is supposedly a white variety which was probably a dumb idea to get because now I have no idea how it's doing other than I think it's polyps are starting to come out. The purple plume looks good so far. That was the most stressful experience I have ever been through, especially getting them glued in place. I accidently glued my finger to the plume! Poor creatures! The corky is the lower left and of course the plume is the center (those are silicone corals behind the plume so if ignore those). I need to find that thread on milestones. I want to add this. My heart is still palpating from the stress.

That makes me feel a whole lot better coming from you!! I didn't even realize my poor purple plume is kind of leaning. Gosh, I'm so stressed right now! I drove home immediately from my LFS so they came out of blue lights at the store and other than dipping they went straight into my tank. I read on here to do lights out and then slowly raise the lights. Is that only when they've been shipped and have been in darkness or should this be done even if they came straight from the store? I have about an hour left before lights out but I can turn them off now.
