CAMERA->Monitor via HDMI

Hi all,

I have a Panasonic Lumix mirrorless camera that I am trying to connect to an external monitor. The HDMI out from the camera connected to a monitor does not produce any video stream. Any idea of what I am doing wrong?

Simply put, how can I connect a Lumix to an external monitor. I need specifics please.
