So I've been working on getting everything stable in my new to me 150 gal reef. Ive been testing alk daily and dosing to keep it up. Just got my dosing pump going yesterday at 55ml/day of brs liquid soda ash and alk stayed at 8.6 all day. I will continue to monitor this....

My question is about calcium. The guy I bought the tank from was dosing both alk and CA but I haven't had to add any calcium. Calcium was hovering at the high end of acceptable until I did a water change and now I am at 500+ppm

My corals seem fine but I'd like to get everything dialed in properly.

I'm using instant ocean reef crystals for water change

Thoughts?
