I am currently setting up a 75 gallon tank. I want to put a calcium reactor on it.
I run a hydros controller. I purchased a DC CO2 solenoid valve.
I have my sights on a small reactor. My first question is. Do I need a standard or controlled regulator ?

You don't need a pH controller at all. You do need a regulator. Regulators are just regulators and the solenoid is what people use to turn the gas on/off if they are using pH to control it.

I only use the solenoids to turn the gas off if power is lost. I don't use pH to run any of my CaRx.

@Company101 if your tank is low demand then be aware you may need to run the effluent very slow. You can do it with continous duty, but you will need to tee the output.

If you have low demand plan to see maybe 400ml per day for flow rate.

Plan accordingly.

EDIT: What @jda said do not do closed loops these are very dangerous.
