Hey all,

I am lucky enough to have purchased a brand new Cade 1200 S2. I ordered it some weeks ago, I haven’t received a tracking number yet. I plan to do a fully aqua-cultured tank. I think it would be cool to show off what a large variety of marine life we now have access too.

I plan to run the triton method on this tank as well.

I have a current tank of 55 gallons that I will be transferring over. Small coral frags in there, 2 clowns and a 6 line wrasse. The wrasse was I’m sure wild caught so he will be the exception. So far he is a model citizen so he can stay.

I will update with equipment as I purchase it and pictures when the new Rick work and tank come in. I am in the process of compiling a potential fish list as well!

if you guys have any questions or potential idea please add them below.

This is the starting livestock list, those listed in green are already in my current tank. The left side of the list is just a dream list incase they ever become available. Not looking to overstock but will be on the lookout for tangs and purchasing all of them at once.

Looking to source all fish from ORA and Biota. If you guys have any suggestions or changes please let me know I am open to anything!

As far as coral goes it will be a mix of everything, I'm sure I will eventually transition into more SPS dom in the years to come.

I am looking to make this a home for them as much as possible instead of a display.

It’s finally here!

there were some questionable things that happened with the shipping process, but it all arrived in one piece. I will do the pipping tonight and then work on the aqua scape.

I know the glare is pretty bad but until the lights from the tank are transferred, this will have to do. Left side will house sps and a clam in the middle. The right side will be more torches and hammers. Going for a wide variety, mostly softies. There is a lot of space on the right. The rock from my current tank will be put there. Should help it look more even!

Hello all,

for anyone still following, I have water getting delivered on Friday so the tank will be up and running then!

Thought I should also do a quick equipment list.

2x RedSea ReeWave 45 (may have to supplement down the line)

2x AI Hydra32 HDs (will add another down the line)

2x Eheim Jager 250watts

Jebao DCT-8000 (will upgrade down the line to an Octo)

Tunze DOC 9004 Skimmer ( will upgrade to a Octo)

RedSea Reefdose 4

Kill-a-watt surge protector

Tunze Eco-Chic Refugium light

A lot of this stuff will need to be upgraded, I am hoping to use the money from selling a lot of old equipment, the old tank and sump

I added some under cabinet lighting! They fit perfect for my tank. Completely motioned sensor. Hopefully the flow and water don’t set them off! You can use screws or 3m as well.

We used a bottle and a half of turbo start to help seed the new rock. Also I am going to add some microbacter7 today to introduce some more strains.

I placed an order for a aptasia eating file fish, pods, cheato, and another tuxedo urchin.

I have some small aptasia on my old rock that was transferred, hopefully we can get the filefish in early enough to pick at them. The pods I want to get in early for preventatives. They can populate on the rock and cheato in the sump.

1 week from today I will send off the triton test and start the dosing for it.

If anyone wants to see something specific under the tank or have questions on how eve thing went or about the tank in general please let me know!

I’ve found most ORA bred/captive breds are tiny. Tank looks good though! I just set up my own CADE 1200 and I’ve been lazy to take pics.
New aptasia eating file fish added! From ORA through algae barn. I was shocked how small he was!
