Hi, I have a ten gallon nano that I set up about 3 months ago. A few days ago I started to notice some of the corraline algae (atleast that's what I'm assuming it is) is blue. Its a bright blue that doesn't look like it should be found in nature. Is this because of my LED lights?

I can't take a picture because my cell phone is broken.

Do you have another kind of light you can shine on it? Like unplug the LED for a bit and shine a daylight compact fluorescent bulb on it? The ones you get for lamps. And see if the color changes? There is blue in purple, and likely the blue LEDs could make it pronounced.

There blue, purple, pink, and green corraline alge in our home aquarium. But out in the oceans there's also orange, red and yellowish green.
