Hello Guys, I'm new to R2R, but have been in the hobby for a good amount of time. I have been getting into "high-end" bubble tip nems just this year. I just purchased a colorado sunburst anemone 4 days ago, and I was wondering if anyone with bubble tip nem experience can chime in and help a fellow reefer out. thank you.

They are under a
ATI Dimmable 8 Bulb T5 setup

Here's the problem I'm dealing with currently:

Mind you, I have about 9 other healthy nems in the same tank.

During the night light period, when the anemone begun to shrink. One of the nems tentacles got stuck on a barnacle and got cut off. After this happened, the nem started to retreat deeper into the cave and it's mouth was gaping open. When the mouth was gaping open, I noticed these things: The anemone shrunk and the tentacles shriveled up, a bit of the insides seemed to be spewing out, with some really fuzzy looking white stuff and some brown stringy/hairy brown stuff. After about 15-20 minutes of that happening, the Mouth (lips) puckered up huge and and closed a bit while the insides retracted. Currently, the "night lighting" is still on and the nem is still in the shape as pictured. Is this something normal, or does this indicate the nem not liking my tank parameters. I was planning on moving it to my buddy's fully established tank tomorrow. Any help and info would be appreciated.

What it normally looked like, during the day time:

Gosh darn it... I just noticed that I accidentally dialed in the time wrong on for the moonlight (2 ati blue bulbs) and they were on for 24 hours for the past 4 days... I was wondering if this might've been the cause of the nem becoming like that? Will this have any detrimental effects for the days to come for the nem?

I just fixed the lighting period cycle. The nems lips closed and it looks to be going back to normal. Hopefully it doesn't die on me...

Welcome. :)

It does sound like a lighting issue seeing that all other anemones in the tank are doing well. Sometimes anemones stress during acclimation.

Keep us updated.

In my experience! What I have learn is we can not mix high end anemones with either rainbow or black widows!! They have a chemical warfare! Maybe is the reason try to put it in separate tank
