Bubble magus z6 continuously overflowing after a water change!

My wife bought me this skimmer for our 60 gallon cube. It took forever to work correctly. After every water change we do, it overflows for days. Sometimes 1 day all the way to a week. I’m so frustrated with this thing. It is in the correct water level. Can I get some pointers?

Do you clean the skimmer body when doing water changes? If so, you may want to only clean the skimmer cup.
