I recently got my first BTA and was wondering if a clownfish being in it to much could damage it. I haven’t seen it nipping any tentacles but she is in it 24/7. There is a couple tentacles turning black.

You can kind of see it here on the right side.

clownfish can most definitely be too aggressive. i’ve read posts of people having to take the nem, or clown out to save the other

Mine never leave my BTA, except to snatch some food items.
About 5 years
At night, the female lies right down like a bed.

Mine lays in it, but she also will aggressively swim down into it and I think that’s where the damage is coming from.

I have ordered a quarantine box to put the nem in to see if it is just from the fish being to aggressive.
