I know that you have to worry about them going on walkabouts, but are they a notorious fish eater as well? Like the mini nems? Would you have to worry about them eating your fish or is that not common?

Yup i have read about fish wandering too close and never coming back...its not a huge risk but it is there if the fish isnt smart. As well as it can mess with some corals if it is moving around to find a spot it likes.
Here is a good link with a ton of good info! INTRODUCTION - karensroseanemones.net

Thanks! Planning on neon gobies, midas blenny, maybe firefish and of course clowns which I know won't be an issue. Do you think these fish would have any issue since they are smaller if they were healthy?

I think your fish will be fine, i would be more worried about the nem myself, i have bad luck with them myself so Im skeptical of them. cover your power heads with foam or you may find it wandered into it. also and this is what happend to mine, if you get clowns for it and they decide the nem is a good host make sure the nem is big enough. My maroon went into my bubbletip as soon as I put it in the tank and killed it becuse it was so much bigger. lucky i was home to get it out before it poisoned my tank.

Thanks Rockadile, I have heard about the whole "loving to deal" syndrome. How many have you tried to keep? I kept a nem about 10 years ago for a while, gave it away with my tank and I don't remember what kind it was... it kills me that I don't. But it never moved from where I placed it in the tank. Which was awesome. I had a maroon that hosted it, but it was probably 8" when I got it.

I have tried 3. keep in mind I have only been in the hobby a little over a yr and just recently upgraded from a 55gal sumpless tank a a90rr sps tank. so I would probably have better luck now considering I have way better equipment and a lot more knowledge but they just take up too much room. I am still extremely new to the hobby but my skill level has increased greatly

I have never had an issue with my BTAs eating or even coming close to touching any of the fish in my tank. An unhealthy fish that swims in to the nem will be food though.
