I'm organizing a BRS group buy to start May 20th and run through May 26th, I will send the group buy form in next week; Monday, May 19th. The group buy will then start the next day; Tuesday.

I have been looking at a few things. I have never preticapated in one of these. If I sign up and end up not getting anything does it hurt anything.

Not at all, and it will actually help you because after joining a group buy you are permanently moved into a "preferred reefer status" where you will see lower prices as long as you are logged into your account!
