Brown algae appearing in high flow area

Below is a picture of my recent algae bloom. It is on a live rock directly where a power head is blowing. I am assuming that I should remove the power head.

any advice would be more than appreciated!
Will add better photos in the morning.

If you're planning on locating coral there, you don't want the powerhead blasting them with direct flow, coral is happier in turbulent indirect flow.

It's very difficult to tell from this picture, so will wait for more pics, but how long has the tank been up and running for?

Thanks for the response! This tank has been up and running for about 4 months now. I upgraded my 20 gallon to this 55 gallon. I have already gone through the nitrogen cycle. My ammonia and nitrites are zero. My phosphate is very low but not zero. My nitrate is high but it is getting noticeably lower everyday when testing. I’ve attached a short video and some better pictures below.

It looks like Cyano to me, which is strange in a high flow area. can you easily brush it off?

Yeah that’s why I’m so confused. I wish I could get a better picture but it is more like a brown fuzz. In person it doesn’t look like cyano. And it is literally the highest flow area of the tank. None of it is popping up anywhere else. I initially aimed the power head at this rock to create indirect flow throughout the tank. I have already unplugged the power head to see what happens.

It does look like it would be easy to brush off but I haven’t done anything like that yet because I’m afraid that I’m going to spread it.

I haven't tried turning off the lights yet. I think I'm just going to take the rock out now. seems like the easiest fix right now.

I went ahead and got it out of my tank. I also removed the power head that was blowing onto it. Thank you both for your responses. I will update here if it comes back.

I went ahead and removed the rock with the green algae. I found something else that I think could be coraline but I’m just not sure. I’ll attach a coup pics below. It is growing in small spots on a single rock and seems so have not furry or fuzzy texture. It looks as if the rock is just changing color.

Could be corraline or a sponge of some type.

It’s like a deep purple, I guess you could say a purpleish red. Looks like the exact texture of the rock that it is growing on.

Here is another photo of another rock I. My tank that looks more like coralline algae. It’s a much lighter shade of purple. Closer to a lavender color.
