Brown “Bounce” algae ID

Does anyone know what type of algae that is in the picture? I call it “bounce” algae because it looks like the bubbles you get on bounce mushrooms. The colour in the pic is pretty accurate.

It’s only on the top side of the rock, is spreading very slowly, and doesn’t seem to spread by spore because it’s only on one rock island and not the other.

I haven’t probed it yet so I can say how it feels or if it dislodges easily
