Welcome to Reef2Reef!

There are a number of tangs that are yellow as juveniles, including at least four Ctenochaetus/bristletooths.

With Hawaii shut down, it isn't C. strigosus. If it came from E. Africa/Indian Ocean it is probably C. truncatus. If it came from Indo/Philippines, it is probably C. cyanocheilus.

As a side note, the fast open mouthed breathing it is showing is a bit worrisome - maybe it was scared because of you filming it, but watch that closely if it is a new fish.

I will definitely keep a close eye on him, but I’m thinking he was scared of the flashlight that was shining on him while filming. He was added about a week ago today. Seems to be settling in though, because he swims around a lot with the coral beauty and he/she is eating.

thanks for the advice and answering my question.

thanks Jay
