Bring on the clowns!!! Have clownfish ever bred in your tanks?

I've caught my wyoming white hatches/fry a couple times but they become filter sock fodder, I have no way of raising them. Would be cool though.

I grew out my pair of clown fish for two years one day my tank got to breeding temps 82-84 and the female literally killed the male . chasing the male all over the tank till the male jumped out. then about 4 months later the female comitted sucied and jumped out the tank . maybe by a broken heart. took me a while to get another pair of clowns

My Pair of Clown Fish (few years in tank) Lay Eggs every few months, but I've never seen eggs hatch/survive since I don't do anything to catch and raise the fry. Clowns live happily in a Mushroom Patch that they decided to host.

You can see when they are prepared to lay eggs, they bash the mushrooms out of way to make a bare rock spot and then eggs are laid. They get very territorial when eggs are laid. I've seen them attack my massive Clown Trigger Fish if he gets too close looking for a snack.

Been raising lightening maroon, Picasso and mixed premium Picasso and gold nuggets since 2014. Lots of trial and error but then started raising my own Rotifers which improved my grow it rate to over 10% and as high as 30% from some batches. Always have eggs hatch in tank for my home tanks and catch fry with Vossen fish trap. Grow out fry in 3 and 5 gallon tanks. After 12-14 days in Rotifers, start introducing TDOa foods at 3 days off life and then all TDO pellets after 2 weeks. 3-4 months grow it times and then off to local fish stores. Have quite a bit of video of eggs being laid, tended, hatching, catching in fish trap, and then different life stages. Doing all this for fun and to help replenish this hobby without having to take wild clowns from ocean reefs. Currently working on black storm and mocha clown fish for breeding. Clowns are bonded and lasting has but males aren’t fertilizing eggs completely.

I started with a pair of Gold stripe maroons, and raised 3 or 4 batches of babies after several attempts. Kept one of them for 10 years in a 10 gallon nano. He/she/they never allowed any other fish to live in the tank although I tried several times to pair them.

I currently have a pair of ocellaris that have been spawning regularly for 15 or 16 years. I have never attempted to raise any of their offspring.

There were 32 total that survived the long haul out of about 50 hatchlings. It was fun and quite the experience.

Once my clowns started it was new eggs every few weeks. They would hatch but I never actually saw any babies in the tank.

I'm surprised at the number of votes that have not spawned. Mine have always spawned. My youngest pair spawned for the first time recently but didn't lay them on rocks, or didn't prep the rocks correctly.. I noticed my convict tang swimming all over doing acrobats. I thought something bad was wrong with it and was going to net him but then I saw all the eggs in the water column. He was getting his share. I don't think the other fish even saw them.

Mine spawn all the time I never try to rear the babies unfortunately. I did try once and ally rotifers died. Here's a video of them cleaning the eggs

Like others here have had two different Percula clown pairs breed multiple times, one pair seemed to lay eggs repeatedly for a couple months. But nothing ever matured and just assumed the fry were eaten by something.
