Hi just want to raise some brine shrimp for some picky fish. Need them to be larger than hatching size so im trying to setup a quick tank. I have a 5 gallon tank for them, and air pump and air stone* and a heater but i wanted to know about temp and whether the heater in the tank was safe with them.

For grow out ive heard heaters can be dangerous for newly hatched nauplii. They are super hardy otherwise though, so room temp should be fine. But they will mature quicker at warmer temps.
If you have not yet seen these guys, i would recommend them for your eggs etc, local dudes for me. Chatting with the owner was a very enlightening experience about fish nutrition. They also have some articles that might help.

Maybe i could place a heater inside of a vase. Put some water in with it and place the vase in the brine shrimp tank. I think it should work

You don't need a heater. Just keep them at room temperature with an airstone and feed yeast. I raised them many times for growing seahorses.
