Breakfast Bar Biocube

Our breakfast bar biocube is up and running after a very quick cycle.
It is a 14 gallon Oceanic that I traded some stuff I got for free on Craigslist. I have a Koralia 425 to stick in it that I will do today.
Really excited to start adding some corals, but first need to address a few things.
Number one the lights suck, and the cooling fans need replaced. One is noisy and one does not work. Anyone use Steves LED's? Seems like a hood affordable option.
After that I need to get or make a media basket for it.
I plan to do mostly LPS in this cube and lots of color is a must.
Anyone have any advice or opinions on anything else I am missing or may want to add?
This will be the first tank I add corals to so I don't want to botch it.
Also I noticed a piece of Aiptasia on one of my rocks. Best way to eliminate it?

I always used vinegar with a syringe in the past for Aiptaisia. Make sure you get into the skin and do not poke through to the other side. However, I recently tried boiling water and found it worked much better and destroyed any tissue or babies they may have remained.

EDIT: I recommended boiling water because your tank had no corals. Obviously it could damage tissue.

Just got home and noticed all of this growth on a few of my rocks. Is this something to worry about? Can someone ID it for me please. Thanks!

Are they sponges?

Looks like worms and pineapple sponges. Both are beneficial.

Throw the aptasia rock away, today! I have a biocube 14 that is completely modified. I originally tried it with the media basket, but constantly had algea issues. I eventually took out the divider and drilled the back and added a sump. For the light I added an AI Prime, when they first came out. I'll try to find the links for you.
