I'm so ashamed of my tank at the moment. I've seriously neglected it since I started the remodel and I've got weird algae popping up everywhere. Especially on the glass. It's orange and very hard to remove. Have to use a razor blade to get it off the glass. And there's also some small patches of bubble algae and what I think is bryopsis popping up. Anyone know what the orange crud is? It's not diatoms, it's hard.

I get the same stuff on my acrylic, I have to use a credit card to scrape it off but it will come off no problem. It’s like a bunch of little round spots, correct?

No. It's a thin film that just blankets everything. But it was starting to get some purple circles in it so I suppose it could be an explosion of coralline. Just never saw coralline grow like that.

Ah ok, so not like this annoying crusty stuff then?

Your tank journal, does your tank "live" somewhere, a thread to follow?
I haven't made a thread for it. Sorry. Its a standard 29 gallon, no skimmer, no sump, HOB mechanical filtration. Two large ocellaris, one small sixline. I was using a single AI Prime HD but it didn't have enough spread so I ordered the new AI Prime 16HD and added it. I'm running the Saxby preset on both. I think it may be a bit too much light to be honest. You can see the film on the glass in this picture.
