A while ago I introduced myself and my builds and had a few people want to see the progress on my hexagon tank. I’m done moving states now and finally got around to setting it up. So here it is! Pvc base for the bonsai and covered with as many coral skeletons as I could find for a “natural” look. Enjoy!

Update! I have moved some corals closer to the light and added a little bit of a clean up crew as the algae was getting out of hand.

Decided it was time to add more corals and my first fish!! *aren’t verified names just look like the following: JF Boston Bean Digitata, Sunburst Montipora, unknown acropora, sunny D or similar looking zoa. Unknown BTA pinkish red tentacles with green base/mouth and two tomato clownfish (one looks like a cinnamon the other looks like a tomato but one is obviously older than the other so can’t say for sure)

I’m not a of fan of hexagon tanks, and I don’t like eels, but I like novel things— you did yourself very proud on this build! Great job! :)
Thank you! That means a lot. Lots of time and thought put into this build. Coming up with and getting the pvc structure itself just right took almost a month. Not to mention looking for dead corals that would work with it. It’s been an adventure but a really fun one and I am excited to continue posting updates.

Big Update! Added two eels… they are having personality differences. First picture shows the beginnings of a mushroom garden I’ve started and I also added more corals. Mostly LPS

Added more rocks to give more den options for the eels and to hopefully help reduce aggression. I also cleaned the glass so there are clearer views now of the new corals. They include a platygyra, four mushrooms three of which are hairy, an acan and what appears to be a very very small torch (center of tank)
