Hello, I just purchased a new blue tang it has wedged itself near the skimmer and the Aquariam glass. I am worried that something is very off. My parameters are good. Video posted. All help appreciated. I took the video while it was in there. It is just staying there.

Show the rest of the tank. It might be freaked out and trying to hide the only place it can find.

That said, swimming directly into flow can be a sign of velvet. See any marks on it?

A lot of people can’t view videos on r2r sorry. Some pictures will help.
Otherwise, how was the fish acclimated?
How long ago was the fish introduced?
What are you tank parameters?
Any clue what the bag water parameters were?
What are the other tank mates? Any other tangs? Any bullying so far?
If it is a new addition it may be getting harassed, or it may be just adjusting to it surroundings.

No marks on it. It was swimming in the flow for a few seconds. Lots of spots to hide. That spit is very secluded where the tang is though. I don’t know what’s wrong or if it’s not wrong.

The fish was acclimated by a pro. I got my tanks monthly service and an addition of the tang. It was acclimated by being put in a bucket with the original water and water from my tank was added. Almost like drip acclimation but with cups every 10 minutes. It was about 1 hour long process. I have 2 clowns and a flame angel. At first it was swimming next to it to check out who it was. No bullying that’s visible. Hopefully it’s getting adapted. Parameters are good. Bag water parameters I’m not sure. A few hours in the tank so far. Very new to the environment.

While they tend to do this with no rock available as it seems, How did you acclimate the fish and for how long.
Also reduce white lighting at least for tonight to allow fish to properly settle in.

No lightning at night at all. Good news it started swimming with flame angel.

Like I stated, they do this frequently and will even lay flat to play dead and talk about giving the owner a near heart attack
