Hi All. I have a blue marine 90 nano tank. I’ve had it around 7/8 months now and the skimmer still won’t settle what ever I try and the filter is very noisy?

Anyone had this issue?

Havent seen these tanks before but the design of the skimmer looks terrible. I would probably run it without a skimmer as it is a tiny tank. For filter noise is it like an air sucking noise or is it the pump itself being loud?

No skimmer and weekly water change’s of 20%??

It’s a buzzing noise. It’s not against anything or dirty. Could the filter itself be to small?

Agreed. Skimmer really isn't necessary. I used to run a nano tank with no skimmer and just did weekly water changes. It was a successful little reef tank.

buzzing noise might just be a cheap return pump. you can always upgrade to a small dc pump if u wanted. jebao is pretty good for this but there are a lot

I have the same tank and Im about to throw away the skimmer. It just sits there and overflows, using energy. The return pump is NOISY! I have found the impeller seem to jump our of its track or the stick loosens so it makes a racket. Any tips?
