Hello everyone,
I need some help identifying what might be ich on my blue hippo tang. I noticed some spots last night however they’re flush white spots on the top of her head, and raised bumps on her belly similar to what I could describe as razor burn on a human. She also has some scratches or scrapes by her tail possibly from flashing but she does lay flat under the rocks at night so could be from this. Tank size is 75 gallons, Parameters are ammonia 0, nitrate 0, nitrite 0, ph 8.2, salinity 1.025, temp 78. There have been no dramatic fluctuations in any parameters lately and I’ve had the tang since about February with no issues and nothing new has been added to the tank since last month. Tank mates include 1 baby porcupine puffer, 2 clownfish, 2 pincushion urchins, 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 fire shrimp, 1 mandarin goby, and 1 chocolate chip sea star. Tank is over a year old. I just need some help identifying what this may be so I can properly treat it without taking out any tank mates. She is currently still eating great and behaving fine.
