“Stichodactyla gigantea, commonly known as the giant carpet anemone, is a species of sea anemone that lives in the Indo-Pacific area. It can be kept in an aquarium but is a very challenging species to keep alive and healthy for more than 3–5 years.”

This guy has been in captivity for about 10 years. I’ve lost track when I got it, maybe 2016 ish. My buddy had it a few years before me.

I live Naperville/Aurora area, a suburb of Chi-Raq about 45 min west of (Chicago)

These guys are rock solid. I’ve had them all together for years. I never feed anything to the tank. The 1 fish I have picks from the rocks. No additional anything is given to the tank besides KH, calcium, mag, and occasional trace elements. They will look different in a new tank with water changes because I rarely do those either. I suggest not feeding these guys for a month after moving to your tank. They get +-12-1500 par starting at 9am and ending at 11pm. The lighting is blue from 9am-11pm and very strong 5k lights from about 1-9pm. If you look at my history you can see how they change depending on the level of effort I put into tank care. Flow is pretty high, higher than any lps will put up with, probably higher than most sps tanks. If your tank water is maintained I would guess you’ll need 18” of space real fast. Anytime I change 5 gallons of water to suck out garbage, (laughable with 250 gallons of system volume) they tend to drink more (expand).
$600 each or 2 for $1000 pick up only.
no shipping.
