Birdnest coral changed shape after 1 day?

Hello reefers,

Yesterday I introduced a new SPS coral, UC Screaming Birdnest to my tank.

I placed him down on a sand at well lighted area.

As you can see on picture, today I saw him totally bended down and changed shape then day before. There is one small piece of him bellow, as you can see I marked on the photo.

I saw hermit crab close to him, is he to blame? How is possible for coral to change the shape that quickly?

Only 2 hermit crabs, no fish.

I don't see how is possible for hermit to break it, right?
well, since there are no other possibilities, the only possibility that remains, however unlikely , must be the truth lol.

I never would have thought it, you got strong hermits.
