I have been using CurrentUSA lights since I came back in the hobby in 2019 and I adore them. I was having problems with my Hydor Koralia's starting in reverse so I decided try the eFLUX pumps. The biggest criticism in the reviews was durability so I ordered extended product protection (which I almost never do). Boy am I glad I did. At around the 7 month mark the first one failed. I contacted their customer support, who were good, and they sent me a replacement.
No after 14 months I noticed my tank looked very stagnant the other day and sure enough, not one but both of the pumps weren't running. I took them out, gave them a citric acid soak, brushed them off and hooked them back up and nothing. So in 14 months I had 3 of them die. \
It's a shame because they look great, provide nice steady flow, and I LOVE controlling them with the same Loop system I used to control the lights. They are essentially disposable pumps.
