Hi folks. So I have a Fluval Evo 13.5g, and I've got chaeto in a refugium (printed basket) in chamber 2.

I recently replaced the refugium light that was mounted on the outside of my tank with a Hygger 6W submersible light. With this light you can program:

- Color: white (I think they also call this "full spectrum"), red, blue, green, purple, yellow, cyan
- Time on/off
- Brightness: 10/25/50/75/100%

I was wondering what people who have this light think is the right set of settings to encourage chaeto growth. Thanks in advance.

I just posted almost the exact same question here - also don't take my advice but maybe someone will answer.

I just use a clamp-on shop light from home depot with the bulb it came with... works fine. I think adjusting the lights to remove/reduce wavelengths is aimed at preventing algae. I say full spectrum bulbs without any tinkering is best. As for the time, a lot of people run the fuge on an opposite light cycle from the tank to help keep pH stable, but otherwise as long as you give the chaeto a few hours for respiration, you can have the light on most of the time if you want.
