Hi Ive got a torch coral that is receding a bit from cyano and dinos and want to use the dip that will be easiest on the coral but still remove them. I have lugols solution, coralrx, and hydrogen peroxide just want to use the one easiest on it as the cyano isnt growing too fast. Most of my tank is rid of the two, just some stubborn strands left near my corals.

Can't you just blow off the cyano or dinos with a turkey baster?

They have gotten up to the actual skeleton so it is hard to get it off fully. Cant get a pic right now as the polyp does extend a bit over it when open but tissue is noticeably receding when i see it at night

its on the inner part on the coral where it usually looks white and circular when damaged if you have seen a damaged euphyllia. Kind of weird to describe as i dont have the whole coral anatomy vocabulary down

Not an expert on this but I would expect these to just die off when you put it in your tank because your water parameters won't support them.

i was hoping but they are being stubborn. Been dosing phosphates and nitrates for 1 month and they are both dying back but not all gone. phosphate still testing zero with salifert test. nitrates 2.5 with red sea test. ive also seen better growth in sps and my frogspawn corals espescially

I would be careful with freshwater. I tried a freshwater dip on my Indonesian elegance (which I believe had elegance coral syndrome) but it began to deteriorate even faster afterwards. Obv not the same coral, but it would make me hesitate.

In the exact same situation with a really nice dragon soul torch right now. What did you end up doing? Mine just has some cyano so I was thinking iodine dip would be best.

best thing that worked was a hydrogen peroxide dip for mine. nothing else seemed to really help too much with the cyano, its still still recovering though. i did around 1/3 cup of hydrogen peroxide to 2/3 water for 5 min, but i would probably lower the amount of h2o2 next time and probably go a little longer
