which surgeon fish is best at eating algae off the rocks in the aquarium any recommendations ?

what is the tank size? Best are usually tangs with bristlelike teeth. Kole tangs and tomini tangs are good for it among others. Yellow tangs i have had better success eating bubble algae but less effect on short turf algae

IME, any of the Ctenocheatus genus make a living eating algae

I once had a massive bubble algae issue and I purchased a one spot foxface who did an AMAZING job of getting rid of it.
Not sure on other algae unfortunately, it does seem to peck at rocks along with a yellow wrasse.
