I have a beautiful Bella Goby in QT with 1 male red lyretail anthias and 3 females. The QT is just for observation to ensure they don't have velvet as my DT has ich I am not treating them. They have been in QT for 1 day.

My DT is 20 gallons has lots of live lock, leftover shells but is bare bottom - NO SAND. Has ammonia alert badge has been running for 1 year + and has pods. Also has heater, tight fitting lid and small LED light. The goby is out but not eating *yet* I have offered calunarus and brine shrimp. Anthias greedily eating.

How to make Bella Goby more comfortable while in QT? Was thinking of watching all of them for 7 days before they go into 180 gallon reef if they are eating and behaving. I know it is a risk but ASSuming if they don't show signs of velvet in 7 days and are not swimming into powerhead or flashing I will add them to the DT.

I could add sand from my reef but it could not be enough to fill bottom?
Fav food to get bella goby eating? I could get clams?

Just add some sand.

PS I would still medicate them in the QT if you are concerned about velvet, rather than watching to see if one day they all die a pretty nasty death.
