I ordered a Battlebox from Adam with nothing but stags. As always, my expectations were exceeded.

So I sit here, watching my lights transition from white to moonlight. And, I realize I am looking at the most amazing stag coral I have ever seen. The purple body has a faint glow highlighting the bright green tips. It looks great under whites, but under moonlight? ;Drool;Drool;Drool

I can't get a picture to turn out worth a darn. I have a feeling Adam is going to tell me this is a slow grower because if it grew fast the Battlestag would be the most popular stag in the hobby!

Mine is still acclimating so it isn't radiating like it did when I first received it. Hopefully it will perk up and regain its former glory soon!

Funny thing, this one a relatively fast grower. But believe me when I say, this coral is the quintessential "slow first year coral". It will literally do nothing for a solid year after fragging, but as soon as it starts to finally move, its explosive.

The Battlestag was actually the muse for this thread.

Excellent read!

Guess I need to mark my calendar to remember to start enjoying this frag more next year! ;):p

I’ll concur and echo Adams thoughts. In the last 2-3 months mine has doubled or tripled in size. The first 6 months it did nothing but look purty.
