Four weeks ago I purchased a beautiful Pink Bird’s Nest. I didn’t need it. But has that stopped any of us? I already have about 30 SPS corals throughout my 180g tank. There’s really no room for another frag.
But, I brought it home. Looked at the tank and couldn’t find an appropriate spot for this frag.
Recently, I extended my lighting to cover every area of the tank. I looked down the side of my tank and around the back there was a really nice open area to mount a frag. Hey, there’s no front or back to our planet’s coral reefs!
Decision made and glad I did. It seriously makes a statement.

1. Do you only mount coral frags in the front where they can be seen? Or are you going the natural and original way and mounting around the back?

I’m completely full and as long as there’s light, and more importantly, flow, I would mount some frags! When my wife said “Honey, you’re out of space and need a bigger aquarium.” — I think that I’ve succeeded.

Oh btw: stuff growing in the back of the tank tend to grow faster because you don’t look at it daily! lol

Since my rocks are all at the back, and there really is no room, all mine are up front. BUTthe space that does exist in one second taken over by Sherman’s.

But it does have me thinking. New tank should be here soon…have no idea how I’ll do the rocks.

Because I knew this was happening prior to going on a coral buying spree, most of my corals are mount to smaller rocks in “gardens”.

There is a high probability I will remount to different rocks in the new tank…..I just need to figure out how aquascap it first. The new tank will be 4 inches wider….so that give more options
