Baby Blue Tang won’t eat

Hey everybody, I got this baby blue tang 2 days ago. He’s very small like the size of a quarter and in my QT tank right now that I haven’t dosed with copper yet. I’m trying to get him to eat before I start doing copper treatment but he won’t eat!

I tried a variety of pellets omega one, Hikari. I tried garlic soaked nori but won’t eat it.
what can I do to get him too eat? He’s way smaller than I imagined he would be. How can I help him grow?

All the foods mentioned will likely not entice it. Brine shrimp or mysis shrimp may be better bets

Try some live food .

Live baby brine shrimp is a good food to get these started feeding in a new tank, but if there is some underlying issue, that won't help either.

Do you know - was this captive raised or wild caught?

Newly hatched brine shrimp. Also thawed brine or mysis shrimp. Soak some mini pellets in a shot glass with a thawed food cube. I've had good luck getting stubborn fish to eat higher nutritional pellets this way. Other small frozen foods good too. Get him eating first then improve the quality of the food to higher protein and far content

He was wild caught, he was caught like 2 weeks ago from the ocean which is why I assumed he wasn’t eating. Unfortunately he did die, he was very week and small and got sucked into by the filter. Made sure the filters intake wasn’t strong either don’t know how he got sucked up.
