I got my Avast Marine Breakout box last week and love it! Its sooooooo much easier to use than the Neptune version.. Having to try and find a way to fit 6 wires into one tiny holes never made sense to me! I highly recommend picking one up if your in the market for a Breakout box

What does a breakout box do?

It lets you connect physical switches / float switches ect to Neptune apex and do programming off their state

I ordered 6 1/8 mono audio jacks one project box one 8 dinminidin cable one cable strain relief got them all on eBay

Yes but being able to unplug the cables is nice for maintenance.

I believe there is a cheaper one that you solder or one that cost a bit more pre-assembled. so you should have option

Received my BoB kit yesterday and getting ready to assemble it this weekend. Love the idea of the 1/8" jacks for servicing by @Richard baker, but this will work great. Much cleaner than my original DIY from years ago.
