I got up this morning and left at 5:00 a.m. I topped off my tank downstairs which is about 240 gallons total with thumps combined I left for work and just realized at 12:48 in the afternoon that my ATO was still on my salt level dropped from 35 to 30.

I only have corals in this tank as it was set up to host my corals while I move its big display tank downstairs.

I'm using a 55 as a sump and it was running at halfway normally and when my daughter called me it was all the way to the top so I've added about 25 gallons to the system

Any advice should I go home and bring it right back to 35 or should I do it slowly????

I don't think you need to necessarily rush home. You could add some higher salinity water and just let it evaporate naturally - brining your salinity up gradually over the next 24-48 hours.

This is what I generally do (although arguably my drops are more in the 1ppt range).

This is 100 gallon tank that has a 55 gallon sump and then another 55 sump that I plumbed as a refugium my RO/ato luckily didn't cause a huge mess in the basement because the main sump was able to absorb about 30 gallons of it.

I'm just going to add higher salinity water moderately over the next few days.. not going to lie though I haven't seen the coral this open in a long time.. everything is much more open than it normally is.

I'm just over a year in the reefing community and I may have panicked when I posted this and I apologize.

Thanks guys I couldn't let 30 gallons evaporate. There are no fish in this tank yet only corals. I flipped the coin and added salt directly to the third sum it had to go through the other two sums to get to my main tank. I raised it three points over 5 hours. That was the worst phone call I've had while reefing when my child called and said the fridge water wasn't working and I know it's directly connected to my RO. Then I remember turning it on this morning briefly to top off my downstairs tank... Oops
