Thanks! How wide was it?I ran a Ati 36 “ with 1 reef brite 6 bulb over my deep blue frag 60 , similar dims to you , for sps no issues , matter of fact I got one for sale in NYC
This is what I thought, unfortunately T5 bulbs in Brazil are quite expensive, so I will need to bring it in twice a year.I would go 4 bulb and the 2 led strips as this would save a little money and not have to replace as many bulbs every year (but depends on pricing of the units you can find as well).
6 could work as well and be nice to have, especially if you decide to upgrade tank size ever
As mentioned, mainly SPS occupying half of the width (25cm).What type of coral do you plan to grow? for LPS I would say 4 bulbs will work just fine but if you want to grow SPS I would go with the 6 or 8 bulbs. LED strips can be added later if budged is limited.
Tank dims were 48 x 24 x 12 tall trust me 6 bulb with led would be great , don’t go 4 bulbs too little bulb play ,Thanks! How wide was it?
As for the offer, I really appreciate it, but I’m a bit down south…
For a close tank size reference I am running a ATI 24" 8x24w SunPower on an SPS dominant tank that is 35" x 20" x 16" and it is almost overkill. I run 2 bulbs (Blue+) at 100% and the other 6 (3 Blue+, 2 Actinic and 1 6500K) at 70%.
I would think (if going all T5) a 36" ATI 6x24w on your size tank would be plenty of light.
Which 6500 ? Are you usingFor a close tank size reference I am running a ATI 24" 8x24w SunPower on an SPS dominant tank that is 35" x 20" x 16" and it is almost overkill. I run 2 bulbs (Blue+) at 100% and the other 6 (3 Blue+, 2 Actinic and 1 6500K) at 70%.
