Hi, so recently Reefbuilders made a podcast with Salem.
Everthing we need to check, as always. However I think Salem knows what he is talking about.
My point here is, in the last I don't know, 10-15 years (maybe more), we started to talk about UVs, Ozone, Amino dosing, all these things. Some data has shown that all these products maybe is more harmful than good to our systems.
One of the best reef tanks that I have ever seen is from "Carlinhos das Acroporas" a awesome guy here from Brazil. Guess what was his method?
mhs, skimmer, calcium reactor, that was it. I think that he used to do WC too, but I am not certain.
What makes me even sad about it, is that I (as majority of us) bought a UV, an ozone, etc etc. Maybe for nothing. Ok, I think that UV can be very useful when needed, so it is good to have, and ozone does a cool effect on water clarity/smell, but maybe is bad. I also like to experiment a lot, because it is fun.
But to grow acro like crazy, what is in fact necessary? I think that you already know my opinion. What is yours?
