Are these fleece roller filters as good as filter socks cleaned regularly (every 3+ days)...?

I switched to a roller mat over a year ago (Red Sea). I love it. I used to have some algae issues which have gone away. Friends also noticed the clarity of the water. My skimmer also needs to be emptied a lot less. Personally I think this tool is the most important tool in keeping an aquarium clear. Given that it removes waste in real time, I don't believe socks can keep up.

I've had my Red Sea ReefMat going since May 2022 - still on my first roll! ;)

The benefits of a fleece roller.....are amazing and you can't even compared them to socks or fleece.

* I do run a different kind of flow on my tank...which makes a huge difference.

You should really be cleaning or changing your filter sock out to a new one every day. So I would say Filter Rollers are absolutely the future of automated daily filtration.
What scientific study is this based on?
My boss who owns an all encompassing aquarium business is where I got the information from.
If you follow BRS - they did an Investigates on the optimal time to change out your filter socks - and it came out to be every 3 days.
