I appreciate it!

I rebuilt my ej255 from the ground up last year. Just another hobby that I am passionate about!
its fun to learn the ins and outs of these motors. People should not underestimate the potential of these blocks. HAHA Mitsu drivers!
my last motor (cobb tuned with 100% methanol injection at 26PSI) produced over 600 WHP
The sad part it when you blow a ring :( but hey all in the name of fun!

Did you build yours stock or forged?

I built mine for a daily. 600whp would just be waaaaaaaaaaay too much for me on a daily. My goal was 315whp for a utility vehicle to take me anywhere in the US. So I got a 05 Baja and went to town!

I did stock block tuned by Clark Turner. I hit my 315whp first try LOL. 750ccDW on a stock td04. Every bolt on I could get my hands on!

It's crazy how I put 9k into the car on top of what I paid for it just so it can perform as well as a brand new one. 600hp definitely is something I should've shot for LOL

I averaged just in motor and drivetrain 20k on my cars for over 600WHP so it is expensive for these cars.
The hard part.. finding the 99% pure race methanol around here LOL

My 9k was also putting the car back together after heavy rust damage. I'd say performance parts alone I had about 6 or 7k. Thus logic dictates we are on par! Hahahaha!~

Im boosting modest at 16.5. With the 3" TBE and massive inlet it spools like a mac truck. Still average 19mpg on 93.

Do you daily yours?

16.5 is perfect for the tdo4 expect about 50-60k miles
I quit building subarus in 2011 due to cost restraints (divorce)
My last build was a DD but terribly hard on the drivetrain. It was a black 08' sti
The key to a DD car over 600WHP is the clutch ;) but expect to replace it about every 8 months.
When you get good at it a person can have the motor out, clutch replaced and reassembled in 1 day.
Do not use the OEM clutch when over 350WHP it does slip as can be seen on the dyno

yikes! I suppose its also your driving style as well. I am still on the OG td04 going on 130k. I check the wheel every 3 months or so. Never any play. I ride on it too!
