Are crown leathers and devils hand the same? Ive been researching and I think a lot of times they are confused with each other or they are the same coral..

I thought a crown was more like a toadstool and had a folding plate, whereas the devils hand has fingers.

Are they different or same coral with different names?

Thanks

Both names you referenced are ‘common’ names versus scientific names. Thus there will be a wide variety of usage. I would typically think of a devils hand coral as a lobophytum species and a crown leather as a Sarcophyton species. But again, there will most certainly be disagreements when using common names.
