Hi all,
Just had to post this. I spent around 3 hours aquascaping my 75 gallon on friday. Ended up with 2 caves with a
gully in the middle. (using around 80lbs of dry rock from reefcleaners.....great stuff!) I was pretty happy with
the end result....until my wife chimed in that that they were pretty symmetrical....almost a mirror image.(of course I have preached
to her before its best to avoid this if you want it to look natural) Well long story short I thought I could move a few rocks around
today and make it a little less symmetrical and the next thing you know I have moved 1 to many rocks and could not get it back
to its original form....I did not even have a picture! I kid you not it took me 5 hours of moving that rock around today to get it
back to where I could live with it. I think it looks pretty good. Maybe tomorrow I will post a picture when the water clears
up.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? When you just couldent leave well enough alone??

Totally normal, I spent days tweeking my 180's scape, and even still redid it multiple times over the 2 years it was running just because I was never fully happy with the scape or would add a rock or coral and it didn't fit into the previous scape the way I wanted......... I have vowed to not play with the rocks in my current tank until it comes down LOL

You're not alone. I remember one night I thought to myself maybe I'll just move a couple of rocks around to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Next thing I know I am up till 3 AM because some of the rocks have fallen off and I could not get it back to the way it was before. This usually happens when the tank is somewhat new and all the corals are frags. Just think of it this way, eventually you will not notice the rocks as much once the corals grow out.

Ahhhhhh. I feel so much better now. Lol. I too am one of ye who thinks one rock can be moved just an inch. Even WITH pics, I can never get em back right. Lost weekends later, I have it stable and an unstable wife. lol.

Glad I'm not alone on this! Tanks a little cloudy still but here's a picture of what I ended up with.
